All praises are due to Allah, Who says: "And, this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow (other) ways, for you will be separated from His way". (Al-An'am: 153), may Allah's blessings and peace be upon His Messenger and last Prophet, who says: "The Children of Israel were divided into seventy-one denominations, and my nation will be divided into seventy-three denominations, all of which are in hell except one". He was asked: 'O, Messenger of Allah, which is this one?' He said: (It is) the one which I and my companions follow today".
It has been Allah's determined will that the Muslims will be divided into diverse sects, denominations and parties, each party bearing enmity towards the other, and conspiring against one another, going against the clear commandment with which Allah ordered them whenever they differ with one another, that is to refer their disagreements and conflicts to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa alihi wa sallam. Allah says: {And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result}. (An-Nisaa: 59).
As such it is necessary upon whoever wishes well for his nation, and who aspires for the unity of the Ummah, to strive to the best of his ability in bringing its various sects into one nation 'on pure truth and the right path', and making them revert to their old days in the days of the Messenger sallallahu alaihi wa alihi wa sallam, in all aspects of the deen: theologically, legally and morally, in line with Allah's commandment: {And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided}. (Ali-'Imran: 103).
One of the most important purposes that stimulate one to be eager in this direction is the need to enlighten the followers of those sects that deviated from the teachings of the Qur'an and Sunnah about the deviations they follow, which prevented them from finding guidance and from being with the mainstream Islamic community.
I was really impressed by the action of a Shi'ite brother who was guided to the truth when he wrote a book in which he relates his experience of the journey from falsehood to guidance, and he gave the book a befitting name he called: "I Won the Sahabah Without Losing the Al Al-Bait".
This title is quite in place, because a true Muslim never finds within himself any discomfort in combining the love for Al al-Bait with the love for the companions of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa alihi wa sallam, may Allah be pleased with all of them.
This reminds me of a Christian who reverted to Islam and wrote a book which he called: "I Won Muhammad Without Losing Jesus".
I remind all Shi'ites that reverting to the truth is always better than blindingly remaining on falsehood, and that one of them – at the time he adheres to the Sunnah and feels at ease with it and helps its cause – can be better in reward and position than thousands of Ahl as-Sunnah who are heedless of the teachings of their religion, who indulge wholly in satisfying their whims and caprices or have fallen prey to religious ambiguities. Allah, the Most Exalted, says: {Whoever disbelieves – should bear (the consequence of) his disbelief. And whoever does righteousness – they are making provisions for themselves} [Al-Rum: 44].
Allah knows best. May His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and companions.
It is not a hidden fact that the Shi'i ideology is gaining ground in almost all Muslim communities all over the world and a considerable number of gullible Muslims are being lured into accepting it, mostly out of ignorance of the deviating nature of its teachings. In many such communities the Shi'ites tend to hide their real nature by engaging in activities that are camouflaged by the claim of love for the noble family of the our beloved Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wa alihi wa sallam, avoiding any discussing to do with the main fundamentals upon which the Shi'i religion is based, or raising some historical issues that are based on mostly concocted lies, or what they assume to be sins or errors committed by the sahabah (companions of the Prophet) may Allah be pleased with all of them.
To the uninformed, these errors or rather actions that the Shi'ites view to be such, pave the way for casting doubts in their minds about the uprightness and sincere faith of these companions, and consequently we find a group of Muslims vilifying, speaking ill of, nay, cursing them and accusing them of betraying the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa alihi wa sallam and the message he brought from Allah, the Most Exalted.
The truth of the matter is that the real founders of the Shi'i religion did not base it on these folly claims, at least in the main. Rather the roots of their argument is wholly based on the idea of the so-called caliphate or imamate of 'Ali ibn Abi Talib radiyallahu 'anhu, which they regard the most vital pillar of their 'Islam', more important than the concept of tauhid, the daily prayers, the zakat and the fasting of Ramadan. They therefore believe that Allah did stipulate explicitly that 'Ali should be the imam immediately after the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa alihi wa sallam, and that the companions, more especially the first three caliphs (Abu Bakr, 'Umar and 'Uthman radiyallahu 'anhum), by failing to accept 'Ali as the caliph, have all become apostates and left the religion of Islam. Errors or sins committed by the companions were therefore taken by the Shi'ites as covers to their real stance on them.
The Qur'an, which is the Word of Allah and Islam's most authentic source, was not spared by the Shi'ites, because, having gone through it without finding any clear, unequivocal, or even the slightest allusion to the issue of the so called imamah of 'Ali and his progeny, they claim that it has been distorted and tampered with by the same companions, as such it lacks its credibility. Other fundamentals, like the issue of raj'ah, ghaibah, al-bada, excessing limits in extoling the imams, or even deifying them, are compliments to this main idea.
It is therefore imperative to enlighten our Muslim brothers about the reality of the Shi'i faith and warn them against falling prey to their false teachings that will take them far from the true religion with which Allah sent His noble Messenger. And I will bring you some examples of the Shi'i faith and teachings in the next articles Insha'Allah, until you realize the reality of the Shiite.
Wish you all the best.
