Nearly 200 people in central Kabul province rallied to protest violent clashes that erupted among Kabul University students in Yaum-i-Ashura and urged the Shiite minority group to perform mourning ceremonies in specific areas. and not create problems to others.
The protestors marched from Qamber square to Prof. Burhanuddin Rabbani University at about 10 am and ended the protest peacefully.
They warned of foreign invasions and said freedom did not mean privilege to create problems to others.
One of the protestors, Shahidullah Arifi, said the rally was to denounce the violent clashes in Kabul University during the Yaum-i-Ashur celebration.
He told Pajhwok Afghan News that the Shiite community should not create problems to other people.
